Individual Schedules and The Hanging Gardens

The lessons have been getting more involved with the students and so we made some individual schedules for them so I can work individually during the time frames. If they are finished with their lesson early I allow them to have a break, drink water, stretch, and play. We have been doing a daily journal in the morning as well to improve their writing skills and build their confidence in writing.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

We had a fun history lesson this week about Babylon and the hanging gardens which turns out to be the one of the Seven Wonders of the World. While we do not know exactly what the gardens looked like we can image how beautiful and decorated they were.

We found a wheel of names to pick out state for this week because it is a fun way to pick a state. I added the list of states remaining and let the wheel spin. It took us to New Mexico which was very fun to learn about. New Mexico is the Land of Enchantment because the state has beautiful scenery from mountains to forests to deserts.

This week was full of such interesting lessons and projects that I feel like I only shared a sample of what we learned.
