Our Classroom Our Way for All Kids
Who We Are
In early 2020, we decided to move our kids to a home-based learning with the charter school our children attended. What we learned was the curriculum was not for all of them and it was frustrating for our kids and us. At the time we had our 4 children (all girls) who were in, Kindergarten, 1st grade and 6th grade and our youngest was at home with myself. Initially, we were concerned with what most people think – HOW ARE WE GOING TO HOME SCHOOL OUR KIDS! Turns out that the school system was doing a worse job than we would even if we mess up. The school system was failing all 3 of our children!
Our Kindergartner who was not understanding the basics of numbers, reasoning, critical thinking and reading so the school left her behind. Our 1st grader who was excelling at everything but the school was not interested in moving her forward (our best guess was that she was getting them money for her test scores). Our 6th grader who was not understanding most of her assignments because her reading and math level was not accounting for the 6th grade curriculum, yet they just kept moving her forward and she kept falling farther behind.
We knew there had to be a better way to help our own kids who clearly needed more attention and a more detailed curriculum that aligned with their development. So the journey began and we are here to help you.
